The Mercato beach in Dubai is a small and quiet beach where you can relax. It is less crowded than other popular beaches in Dubai like the nearby Jumeirah Open Beach and the JBR beach. You do not find many tourists on Mercato beach, but many local people. If you do not want to be close to all tourists, then this is the ideal beach for a day out!

The fact that Mercato beach is a quiet beach is partly because there are few facilities on the beach. You won’t find a beach promenade with restaurants and shops like on the popular beaches. But fortunately Mercato beach is close to the Mercato Mall, where you will find a food court on the first floor and a large supermarket on the ground floor. Here you can get your snacks to take to Mercato beach! You can also walk in about ten minutes from Mercato beach to the Jumeirah Fishing Harbor, where there are a number of nice restaurants with a view on the gulf. Mercato beach does have changing rooms on the beach where you can change clothes, but it is not possible to rent sun beds on the beach.
There is a lot of construction around Mercato beach and the expectation is that the beach will become more popular in the future when there are more facilities such as restaurants and shops. If you prefer to have these facilities on the beach, it is better to visit the Jumeirah Open Beach a bit further down the road.
