Motiongate is located about 25 mins south of Dubai Marina. The metro doesn't run till Motiongate so to get there you need to take the metro to UAE Exchange and take a taxi from there. The taxi will drop you at Riverland and from there you can walk to Motiongate.
From Downtown Dubai take Sheikh Zayed Road past Dubai Marina and Jebel Ali, till you see Motiongate on the left side of the road. There's a large parking where you can park your car for 20 AED. Parking after 18:30 is free.
