The name of Ibn Battuta Mall is derived from the explorer from the fourteenth century called Ibn Battuta. He was only twenty-one when he embarked on his great journey, which would take a total more than twenty-four years and bring him to six different countries: Tunisia, Egypt, Persia, India, China and Andalusia. Along the way he experienced many adventures that have become legends. The design and decorations of Ibn Battuta Mall are based on these legends and the six countries that Ibn has visited. You will find a big stone elephant from a counterfeit Chinese warship for example.
Besides shopping and looking at the beautiful decorations in the shopping center, you can also do a lot of other things in the beautiful Ibn Battuta shopping center. Watch a movie in the Novo cinemas, which has multiple IMAX screens with comfortable cinema seats. If you have your kids with you, you can Fun City with them. This large indoor playground is a paradise to kids and they can play for hours.
