The magnificent Atlantis hotel on the Palm Jumeirah is one of the landmarks of Dubai and in itself worth a visit, but you can also visit two fun attractions in the hotel. The first one is the water park Aquaventure with spectacular slides and water playgrounds, where you can easily spend a whole day. And the second one is the Lost Chambers aquarium, where you can become part of the underwater world Atlantis! This aquarium is not nearly as big as the Dubai Aquarium in the Dubai Mall, but well worth a visit!
The Lost Chamber aquarium is based on the Atlantis underwater world and through underwater tunnels you discover the lost civilization and see fish swim between the shipwrecks and ruins. In ten beautiful rooms you can see thousands of colorful fish, sharks, stingrays, piranhas, lobsters and the smallest seahorses, but the highlight is a visit to the two albino crocodiles. In addition, there are more than 20 exhibitions about marine life in the Lost Chambers aquarium, where you can communicate with the marine animals and even feed them.
You can not only see the animals in the Lost Chambers Aquarium from behind the glass, but at an additional fee you can even swim or snorkel among the animals. When you dive, you can feed the sharks and rays from your hand. If you find this too scary, you better stay dry where you have the opportunity to touch the fish.
Tip: when you stay in Atlantis you can visit Lost Chambers for free and when you have a ticket from Big Bus Dubai a visit to the Lost Chambers Aquarium is also included. There are also combination tickets for the Aquavnture waterpark and the Lost Chambers available with which you get a discount.
