For five years Dubai has been the organizer of the World Government Summit: an important and innovative summit where the future of our planet and our technology is discussed in the broadest sense. The Museum of the Future to be opened in 2019 builds on this. Here you will be able to see everything that has been discussed at the summit and more. It promises to be the world’s largest exhibition about the future that answers all the questions you can have.
The Museum of the Future answers the question: what are the trends of the future? Here you see and learn about techniques that will change our lives. What will be the role of artificial intelligence? What does the house of the future look like with smart devices? But also: what can we do in the fight against climate change and what techniques will be used for this in the future? It is all covered in this beautiful, central and easily accessible museum with striking architecture. Around the World Government Summits there were already temporary exhibitions hosted in the Museum of the Future. You could see, among other things, how scientists think that Dubai will look like in 2050 and what role artificial intelligence and smart devices will play in our households. These topics will also be discussed in the Museum of the Future.
The Museum of the Future is not just about ‘pure’ or abstract science. It is precisely the interface with society that is dealt with extensively. That is why the museums shows which role science and technology can play in our daily lives, our social interactions, but also our health and the influence on our body. The still mysterious relationship between humans and robots is being discussed extensively so that visitors get an idea of ??how their life could look like from 2035 onwards.
The Museum of the Future offers more than just exhibitions. It is also a so-called ‘incubator’: it is a breeding ground where promising start-ups and scale ups are brought together. The museum’s initiator, his royal highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashad Al Maktoum, aptly articulated the ambitions of the museum: ‘The Museum of the Future will be a breeding ground for ideas, a driving force for innovation and a destination for inventors and entrepreneurs from all over the world.’ The museum must therefore play a leading role on the global level and will thus become an enormous asset in Dubai’s ever expanding cultural offering.
